It's little and it's red, but it's not that well known. The Little Red Gift shop is a very cool little store off Remington Road, probably a 30 second or less drive from the Montgomery Inn in downtown Montgomery. As the City of Montgomery's website says--and they hit it on the nose--the Little Red Gift Shops is "Your one stop shop for men, women, babies, pets, home, holiday and so much more."

The store has been up and running for about a year now, and they have so much great/unique/cute stuff for all kinds of people (and dogs) and for all occasions. They don't have a website yet, but once they get their name out there they should do really well. We were talking a bit with the man working there (he said his sister and mother were the ones behind the store), and he was exactly right when he said there is "definitely a little bit of everything" in the gift shop.

I saw tea bag squeezers, jam, jewelry, candles, stationery, greeting cards, martini glasses, college stuff (local college-themed mouse pads, mugs, snow globes, billiard balls and pool table covers), dog stuff (leashes, biscuits, books, key chains, Belie's Bites gourmet dog delicacies), and picture frames. There is also a baby/little kid section with clothing and room decorations, and I also liked these cowboy (and maybe Indian too)-themed bottle stoppers. My favorite items though were the H & K Steel Sculptures wine caddies (mostly between $75-80). These are themed wine caddies that included basketball, tennis, guitar playing, and "Supermom" figures. They have a ton of others in the store and chances are you can find one that relates to you or a friend (doctor, golfer, teacher, etc.)

I was really surprised at how great this store is because I haven't heard anything about it or seen any press on it. This coming week they are having a 40-percent sale on some of their items, but even without the sale, most items are very reasonable and not overpriced, so its worth coming in if you are looking for a unique gift.
