Stix- Durbrow House Highlighted as 2011 Landmark Ornament

The District in Downtown Montgomery Ohio - Montgomery Heritage District

The Montgomery Landmarks Commission is pleased to announce that the 2011 Landmarks ornament will feature the Stix Durbrow House, a large, wood frame classic Tudor that was built in 1928. This beautiful home was designed by noted local architect Guy Chaney Burroughs and contains many classic Tudor features: a steeply pitched roof, front gable with dormers, and a large brick chimney, just to name a few.

This ornament is the 15th in a series of Landmark ornaments made by Barker Ornaments of Oxford, Ohio. The cost for each ornament is $7.00 or two for $12.00. A complete set of the ornaments costs $90.00 and includes a complimentary stained glass window ornament. The proceeds from the sale of the ornaments help with the maintenance of City-owned Landmark buildings. All of the Landmark ornaments will be on sale at City sponsored events including the 4th of July and Bastille Day festivals. They are also available for purchase anytime at Montgomery City Hall or on the City's website, www.montgomeryohio.org.
