MONTGOMERY - Fresh off the recent acquisition of Little Liza Jane's, owner Kelly Lambert has ambitious plans for the children's boutique. Lambert said she will invest more than $100,000 to launch an online store, add new clothing collections and boost advertising for the store at 7816 Cooper Road.
The goal is to attract young mothers and Baby Boomers becoming grandparents who are ready to spend more on their grandchildren, Lambert said. "My goal is to offer lines that you can't get anywhere else in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky," Lambert said.
Lambert, 27, bought Little Liza Jane's in September for an undisclosed amount. She previously was a buyer and manager for six years at a local women's boutique and has been a designer for children's wear companies, including Limited Too and Aeropostale.
Lambert said her shop recently added several new lines, including Joe's Designer Jeans and Lelli Kelly shoes for girls. The store plans to continue to offer items by local designers such as Dimples and Fancy Pants. Lambert plans this spring to sell a new line of graphic T-shirts for kids by Cincinnati designer Alternative Motive.
Lambert, who plans to launch an online store by March and boost electronic and print advertising, said her store has attracted celebrities, including actress Natalie Portman, who recently walked into her shop to buy baby gifts.
Though she would not disclose sales, Lambert said she hopes her initiatives will help boost annual revenue by 30 percent in the next two years. "I'm really excited because the store is in a great location and offers a unique shopping experience," Lambert said.
