City of Montgomery Website Wins Awards for Design

The National Association of Government Webmasters (NAGW) recently named the City of Montgomery the winner of three prestigious website awards at the Association’s national conference held at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.

The Pinnacle Awards honor the highest achievement in web design and development among its members. The Pinnacle Award is given to the organization that receives the highest score as determined by a group of web professionals from government and the private sector. NAGW also awards the Member’s Choice Award, which is given to the organization that tallies the most votes from a review by the NAGW membership.

Selected from among 12 other organizations, the City of Montgomery was named the winner of the Pinnacle Award in the Low Population Category: for organizations with a population of less than 50,000. The judges complimented the City of Montgomery website on its feature-rich content that allows the citizens to interact with the site in a variety of ways, from viewing the community calendar to contacting the county auditor to finding available cemetery plots. Websites were judged on team size, content, organizations, design, function, accessibility, standards and interactivity.

The City of Montgomery is also a proud recipient of the Member’s Choice Award. Finally, chosen from a field of 32 organizational websites, the City of Montgomery took home the Sponsor’s Choice Award, awarded by Siteimprove, the award competition sponsor.
